PRICKLY BLOOM

The repeated shape of a simple paper module develops slowly into a crystalline structure that covers the body to create a second skin. Evocative of ancient icons, it seeks to represent the fascinating properties of paper and its potential to change and evolve from simplicity to complexity. A necklace that grows till it becomes headgear, earrings that fuse with the ornament. The 3D texture evokes the structure of thorny buds.
